The Main Story Of X-Men: The Wedding Special #1
The main story revolves around the historic wedding between Mystique and Destiny, Marvel's first-ever WLW (Women Loving Women) nuptials. Written by Kieron Gillen, with art by Rachael Stott, this story offers a deeper look into Raven Darkholme and Irene Adler's 100-year romance.
The wedding promises to be as complex and intriguing as the couple, with secrets and surprises galore. Fans will be treated to the pair's original wedding, filled with twists and emotional revelations.
Like previous instalments of Marvel’s Voices: Pride, X-Men: The Wedding Special will also feature an incredible lineup of stories written and drawn by LGBTQIA+ talent.
The Lovely Brides vs Opal Luna Saturnyne
Mystique and Destiny’s wedding will bring a lot of chaos, especially when one is uninvited to the big event. One of the stories in the anthology will include a face-off before the wedding.
Excalibur writer Tini Howard brings back Betsy Braddock and Rachel Summers for a pre-wedding adventure. The two lovely birds would need to go up against Opal Luna Saturnyne, the Omniversal Majestrix, who is less than pleased at not being invited to the event.
Joined by artist Phillip Sevy, Howard promises a thrilling story full of action and humour.
