The new Seth Rogen-led Apple TV+ comedy series The Studio recently premiered its first two episodes. It has received massive critical acclaim with praises towards its writing, directing, the performances, and its clever satirical take on Hollywood.

The series is already being considered to be one of the major contenders at the Emmy Awards this year due to its subject matter and the pedigree involved both in front and the back of the camera.

Here are the five reasons why you should watch The Studio.

Clever and Hilarious Satirical Take on Hollywood

If you love movies and always read the news around the industry, The Studio is a show just for you, as it offers a hilarious, satirical take on the current state of Hollywood.

The first episode saw Rogen's Matt Remick take over as the head of Continental Studio and was tasked to develop a movie based on the Kool-Aid property. It mirrored what we've been seeing in real life as Hollywood studios are scrambling to develop projects based on an IP.

Star-Studded Celebrity Cameos

The Studio is full of celebrity cameos from well-known Hollywood stars playing fictionalized versions of themselves. The first episode alone has names like Charlize Theron, Paul Dano, Martin Scorsese, and Steve Buscemi showing up.

The rest of the season will have appearances from stars such as Zac Efron, Zoe Kravitz, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Josh Hutcherson, Ron Howard, Zack Snyder, Charli D'Amelio, Quinta Brunson, Jean Smart, and even Netflix boss Ted Sarandos.

The Main Ensemble

The Studio is led by a talented ensemble with the likes of Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn, Catherine O'Hara, and Chase Sui Wonders.

Each of them is a fantastic performance as their respective characters, as we were able to feel the high stakes of the chaotic nature of the movie business. Hahn and O'Hara are considered to be the highlights among the supporting cast due to their hilariously broad and scene-stealing performances.

Non-Stop Laughs

While The Studio lampoons the current state of Hollywood, it is also an outrageous comedy about characters who seemingly make endless mistakes and desperately try to make smart choices that would result in hilarious errors.

Despite the inside baseball nature of the series, it delivers on a lot of laughs with cringe moments, clever jokes, and occasional physical comedy as well as pop culture references that movie fans will chuckle at.
