Despite fan dissatisfaction with her content, 20-year-old influencer Sophie Rain rapidly amassed millions on OnlyFans in just two years. How did she do it?
What's Up with Sophie Rain's New Private Jet?
Sophie Rain recently sparked outrage online after sharing a video of herself dancing in a private jet she claimed 10 million men paid for. As her caption in the video post said, "Mood because 10 million men paid for my new private jet."
But the comments aren't as supportive of the path she chose to make money rain.
"She's a solid 3 in Asia. You American simps are pathetic," one comment said, followed by another, "Sophie Rain flexing on a private jet shows just how twisted internet fame has become."
Another chimed in just to say this is not a bad jab on Sophie, but rather on the men who make this possible:
However, others believed she doesn't own the jet, and merely rented it for clout:
"She's larping... that's my jet [and] she paid me $2K an hour to film content on," someone claimed, as another replied, "She did not buy a jet. It's like those clowns with the money-making systems in front of a rented Lambo."
In December 2024, Sophie first revealed she accumulated a yearly income of $43 million from posting revealing and sometimes suggestive content on her OnlyFans page.
The online model posted that if there was one word to describe how she felt earning that money, "thankful" is how she would put it, unafraid of the doubt and judgment cast upon her online.
"You can call me whatever you want," she wrote in response to someone characterizing her as a 'prostitute' rather than a model, "I will be laughing my way to the bank."
Speaking with PEOPLE, Sophie would honestly turn online hate into something more productive for her career, "Honestly, all the people online that hate me—and post the mean comments and everything—that's what motivates me to just keep growing and to keep booming and keep doing my own thing."
"It just makes them mad for no reason," she added, "They don't know me."
Here's the catch: Sophie's online front is being a devout Christian and virgin, despite the nature of the chosen moneymaker.
How Did Sophie's OnlyFans Earn Millions In Her First Two Years?
On December 4 last year, Sophie had spoken with TMZ, who interviewed her biggest secret in attaining success on an OnlyFans platform without exposing explicit content in such a short time.
"It honestly doesn't feel real. I feel like I'm dreaming," Sophie told them, "It's just a lot of hard work, that's all I can say. I'm constantly making content, like you really have to stick to a strict schedule."
According to Sophie, "you don't have to give yourself up to everyone" just to make money, which makes her feel "proud" to still be a virgin while making this much dough.
"A lot of people have such a bad image of models and people on OnlyFans that I'm hoping to inspire more people [to do it and join it] 'cause I used to live on food stamps," Sophie continued, "My family grew up poor and I never, to this day, though I would ever make this much money."
Sophie also explained how the money's going to help her family buy and own their very first house, a home to live in permanently.
She went on to say that people don't have to go on OnlyFans to do p*rnography and that she proved everyone wrong: "There's good out of it, I feel like."
