Sydney Sweeney didn't always have it all. Prior to her days in Euphoria, Hollywood treated her very differently.
In a recent interview with Variety, the actress-producer got candid about how Hollywood's cosmetic surgery pressure has been on her ever since.

Sweeney has received almost every stereotypical criticism when it comes to being a woman joining Hollywood. From her breasts to the way she talks, the actress wasn't done with the woes and even shared that at the young age of 16, she was being pressured to consider plastic surgery.
Speaking with Variety, published on October 27, the Emmy-nominated actress revealed she was initially hit about her appearance, particularly about her "very strong eyebrow muscles," before she made it big in Hollywood.
"I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I'm not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16!" the Anyone But You star said, adding that she used to get ignored during her own auditions, "Or I'm in a casting call and I'm reading my scene and the casting director is eating a bag of chips, and I'm like, 'You're not paying attention at all.'"
As the question remained whether she succumbed to the pressure or not, Sweeney addressed that even now, at 28, she has never had any cosmetic enhancements: "I've never gotten anything done. I'm absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing. I'm going to age gracefully."
The Hollywood Pressure on Sydney Sweeney Has Yet to Stop
Despite her growing resume and background as not just an award-winning actress but also as a producer, the criticisms never seem to stop for Sweeney. In fact, one of the most prominent internet commentaries involved "comparison pictures" of herself, which the Madame Web star couldn't take seriously.
"It's really funny... I'm like, 'I'm 12 in that photo. Of course, I'm going to look different. I have makeup on now and I'm 15 years older.'" Sweeney said.
Apart from her appearances, the Immaculate star also happened to have gained divisive receptions in her choice of on-screen roles, most notably, Euphoria.
"I play a lot of very divisive characters, and I think that a lot of people think they know me, but they don't," Sweeney explained previously, "So when people think, 'Ah, she's a sex symbol,' or 'She's leaning into that,' I'm like, 'No, I just feel good and I'm doing it for myself and I feel strong.'"
She continued, "And I hope that I can inspire other women to be confident and just flaunt what they got and feel good because you shouldn't have to apologize or hide or cover up in any room."
Meanwhile, fans can watch Sydney Sweeney transform into Christy Martin once the boxing biopic premieres in US theaters on November 7.
